Inman Park Security Patrol (IPSP)
We love that Inman Park is a vibrant neighborhood in the heart of Atlanta. We also recognize that maintaining a safe and secure community requires ongoing attention and investment. The Inman Park Security Patrol (IPSP) is an important part of that effort.
By joining IPSP, you help support experienced off-duty Atlanta Police Department (APD) officers who patrol our neighborhood and contribute to the safety and security of our community.
What Is IPSP?
The Inman Park Security Patrol is coordinated by the Inman Park Neighborhood Association (IPNA) and funded through residential and business memberships, along with fundraising activities.
Off-duty APD officers patrol Inman Park in an IPNA-marked patrol vehicle or on bicycles. They supplement the work of our regular APD beat officers and provide additional patrol coverage throughout the neighborhood.
Depending on membership level, residents can also receive additional benefits, including a home security assessment, a yard sign with a security decal, and vacation patrol service.
Membership Levels and Benefits
Choose the annual membership level that works best for you.
Level 1 — $60/year
Supports the Inman Park Security Patrol.
Level 2 — $120/year
Supports IPSP.
Includes a security assessment of your residence by an IPSP officer.
Level 3 — $240/year
Includes a security assessment of your residence.
Includes a yard sign with a security decal.
Level 4 — $360/year
Includes a security assessment of your residence.
Includes a yard sign with a security decal.
Includes Vacation Patrol Service.
Your membership helps fund the officers who patrol our streets and supports a safer, more secure Inman Park.
What If I Live in an Apartment or Condominium With an HOA?
If you live in an apartment or condominium, your property management company or homeowners’ association may already contribute to IPSP on behalf of residents. Contact your HOA or property management company to ask whether your community participates.
Our security officers patrol Inman Park’s multifamily communities, and contributions from residents help sustain the program.
Even if your HOA participates, you can still join IPSP individually at any membership level to provide additional support. If your HOA does not participate, you can join as an individual and encourage your HOA board to consider supporting the patrol on behalf of the community.
Why Join IPSP?
Our memberships pay for experienced off-duty APD officers committed to patrolling the streets of Inman Park for a number of shifts each week. This helps make our neighborhood safer and more secure.
Memberships currently cover approximately 80% of IPSP’s expenses, with other IPNA revenue used to supplement the patrol. With additional memberships, we can work toward making the patrol fully member-funded and free up IPNA funds for other important neighborhood priorities.
Every membership helps support the patrol and strengthens our shared commitment to Inman Park.
